  • Your credit union offers many types of loans. All loans that are granted will be based, in part, upon the ability to repay as evidenced by a defined and documented repayment schedule. We currently use a Risk-Based Lending Policy where the member’s past credit history is the determining factor in the loan rate provided.
  • It is the goal of the ACT 1st FCU to allow you to purchase goods and services now and pay for them over a specified period of time.  All member loans will be reported to the credit bureau on a monthly basis.


Think you know your credit history?  As you know, your credit history is EXTREMELY important. It can have an impact on qualifying for a loan, making an important purchase, or getting a great job.  So, why not stay ahead of the game and review your credit history on an annual basis?

There are three credit bureaus you can call to request a copy of your credit report.  Information can vary from one bureau to another, so it is best to get a report from all three. There is a small fee for each report requested; however, Maryland residents are entitled to a free copy of their credit report once every twelve months. Toll free numbers include:
