Part-Time entry-level Member Service Representatives/Tellers

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys assisting others and thrives in a fast-paced setting. This exciting opportunity requires computer, communications, and basic math skills. No previous teller training? No problem! We’ll show you the ropes (although previous cash-handling experience is a plus!).

This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for a flexible work schedule, or if you’re looking to kick-start your career in the financial services industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner
  •  Provide prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions
  • Processes incoming mail or email transactions as needed
  • Perform routine member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan
    payments, transfers, check cashing, and amusement park tickets sales
  • Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of policy and procedures in which the credit
    union follows including robbery and personnel
  • Promote all services offered by the credit union as it pertains to member’s needs and benefits of
    having such products
  • Keep members informed of credit union services and policies, including types of available
    accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options and other related services
  • Understanding and monitoring of fraud prevention and detection procedures
  • Balance cash drawer at designated times to computer totals
  • Scan daily work and perform such other teller functions that might be needed from time to time
  • Ensure that teller station is kept clear of clutter and area is kept clean
  • Opening and maintenance of new Membership Accounts which include, Trusts, FBO, IRA and
    Certificate of Deposit
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Job type:

  • Part-time (20-25 hours per week)

Work schedule includes:

  • 2 eight-hour work days a week
  • 4-5 hours every Saturday

Pay frequency:

  • Every other week (bi-weekly)

Education:

  • High school diploma

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and tools, such as personal computer, postage machine, fax copier, telephone, calculator, etc.
  • Accurately handle cash in a speedy manner when dealing with members and balancing cash before and after use.
  • Familiar with basic products and services offered by competitors and how they differ from those offered by the credit union
  • Must demonstrate the ability to achieve individual and team goals
  • Problem solving skills.

  • As per the work schedule, employees are required to work from Monday – Friday in a three-week rotation, with the inclusion of working on Saturdays. However, they will be compensated with two Saturdays off, followed by working on one Saturday. Additionally, when an employee works on a Saturday, they will be granted a scheduled day off during the work week.

Pay frequency:

  • Every other week (bi-weekly)

Education:

  • High school diploma

Full-Time Call Center Representative

We are currently seeking a candidate who possesses the ability to deliver outstanding member service. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling member inquiries and requests in a courteous, prompt, and proficient manner. Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in processing member transactions during their initial interaction with the credit union.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide deposit, loan rate, and service information.
  • Explain the features and benefits of all credit union products and services.
  • Process funds transfers between accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of information disseminated to members.
  • Recommend credit union products and services to members, as appropriate.
  • Increase awareness, and to increase member use of all credit union services.
  • Be a convenient transaction processing option for members, to market products and services, or to generate loan volume.
  • Provide account information:  balances, check clearings, deposit postings and statement information.
  • Know and be able to interpret available data in the computer system, including pulling and analyzing daily cash advance machine reports.
  • Direct calls for more in-depth information to correct department.
  • Explain the procedure and initiate stop payments.
  • Explain the procedure and initiate name and address change.
  • Provide membership information:  field of membership qualification and new account initiation.
  • Provide information on new and ongoing promotions.
  • Assist members with problems and complaints:  providing resolve when at all possible.
  • Keep abreast of all credit union product and procedure changes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
